Baccarat Lantern brings the classic banker-versus-player card format into a richly lit table setting, with clear bet markers and a pace that suits both careful and quick-decision players. Find it inside the live casino section of your donnie88 account — available on mobile and desktop without any download.
Baccarat Lantern is a live dealer baccarat variant built around the traditional punto banco structure, where you back either the Banker hand, the Player hand, or a Tie outcome before cards are dealt.
Before the deal opens, you choose a chip value from the tray and place it on Banker, Player or Tie. Some table configurations also show Pair side bets for Banker Pair and Player Pair. The bet timer counts down visibly on screen — no guessing when the window closes.
Dealing follows fixed punto banco logic: a natural eight or nine on the initial two cards ends the round immediately. Otherwise, the third-card rule applies automatically — the dealer draws without player input. You do not make any drawing decision; the rules handle it, which keeps each round moving at a steady pace.
Card values run from Ace as one through nine at face value; tens and face cards count as zero. When a hand total exceeds nine, only the right-hand digit counts — so a seven and an eight become five, not fifteen. The closer hand to nine after all cards are dealt takes the round.
On a mobile browser, Baccarat Lantern scales the bet grid to fit without hiding the road map statistics or side bet zones. The chip row stays accessible at the bottom of the screen.
Baccarat Lantern displays its published information through the in-game menu. Tap the information icon during any session to access the rule sheet, payout table and bet range settings.

A quick reference for the terms you will see on the Baccarat Lantern table. Each definition covers what the term means in the context of this game specifically.
A natural is when either the Banker or Player hand totals eight or nine from the first two cards dealt. The round ends immediately on a natural — no third card is drawn, regardless of the opposing hand's total.
The road map is a colour-coded grid that records recent round outcomes — Banker wins, Player wins and Ties — displayed on screen throughout the session. It helps you track patterns in the dealing history without leaving the table view.
A Banker Pair bet wins if the first two cards dealt to the Banker hand form a matching pair by rank. It is an optional side wager placed before the deal. Payout ratios for this bet are listed in the in-information panel.
A Tie outcome is when the Banker and Player hands finish the round with equal totals. Betting on Tie pays at a higher ratio than Banker or Player. If neither side predicted Tie, original Banker and Player stakes are typically returned — check the rule sheet for this table's exact treatment.
When neither hand is a natural, a fixed rule set determines whether a third card is drawn for the Player hand first, then the Banker hand. The dealer follows these rules automatically — you make no drawing decision in Baccarat Lantern.
RTP stands for Return to Player — the theoretical percentage of all stakes returned to players over a large number of rounds. For Baccarat Lantern, the RTP figure, if published, appears inside the game's information panel rather than being shown externally.
